Retrograde for iPhone
Support
Retrograde gets you through Mercury retrograde: a countdown to when it turns, a Survival Kit of small, practical tasks for messages, tech, plans and journaling, and a calendar that rates every day. It works offline, with no account.
Need help? Email support@nkreative.com. It helps to include your iPhone model, iOS version and Retrograde's version (in Retrograde, tap the gear › Version).

Yearly and Lifetime unlock the same features. Prices and any offers are shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency. Premium isn't shared through Family Sharing.
Restore Premium
Purchases belong to your Apple Account, not to a Retrograde account, so you can restore them on a new iPhone or after reinstalling:
- Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you used to buy Premium.
- In Retrograde, tap the gear (Settings), then Restore Purchases under Premium. You can also tap Restore purchases at the bottom of the Premium screen.
Your Survival Kit progress is saved on your iPhone, so it doesn't move to a new phone and is removed if you delete the app. Your Premium purchase is tied to your Apple Account, so it can generally be restored, subject to Apple's purchase and refund policies.
Manage or cancel the Yearly subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Apple:
- On your iPhone, open Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › Retrograde.
- Or, in Retrograde, tap the gear › Manage Subscription (shown while you're subscribed).
Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Premium stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. If you bought Lifetime while a Yearly subscription is still renewing, cancel the subscription there too; Retrograde's Settings reminds you.
Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, or in Retrograde tap the gear › Request a Refund (shown once you have Premium).
Notifications aren't arriving
- Check that notifications are allowed in your iPhone's Settings › Notifications › Retrograde.
- In Retrograde, tap the gear › Notifications and make sure the alerts you want are switched on.
- A Focus or Do Not Disturb can hold alerts back; they'll still appear in Notification Center.
- Alerts are scheduled on your iPhone. After changing time zones or your iPhone's clock, open Retrograde once so it reschedules them for your new local time.
- Retrograde's bell (top right) lists the alerts whose time has come, even if iOS didn't show them.
The Home Screen widget
Adding it
- Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
- Tap Edit in the top-left corner, then Add Widget.
- Search “Retrograde”, then tap Add Widget.
The widget is a medium-size widget for iPhone. Retrograde can't see whether it's on your Home Screen.
If it looks out of date
- The widget updates by itself at midnight and when Mercury changes phase; iOS decides the exact moment, so it can take a little while.
- After a time zone or clock change, open Retrograde once and the widget catches up.
- If it says “We're still mapping this stretch of sky”, today is beyond Retrograde's built-in sky data. Update the app from the App Store.
- Still stuck? Remove the widget and add it again.
